More than 160 hotel concierges from all over Spain met at the Hotel Riu Palace Bonanza Playa over the weekend, to hold the 40th national assembly of the Gold Keys Association. After lunch, a Gold Key was presented to Marco Paredes, director of the Hotel Melia Victoria and president of the Hotel Managers' Association. Paredes, who was named an honorary member of the association, expressed his satisfaction at the award. Among those present were Angel Masa, the national president of the Gold Keys of Spain; Francisco Font, the association's representative in the Balearics, and Joan Bauzà, the councillor in charge of Palma's tourism department. Inés Galindo of I H Hosteleria y Turismo (Madrid) also received a Gold Key. Events organised by the association included a cocktail party in the Hotel Valpairaiso, sponsored by Hertz España, and a dinner hosted by El Corte Inglés, an honourary member of the Gold Keys association. Wine and cava was courtesy of Freixenet. The Palma city council also hosted a reception.
