The Guardia Civil in Artà have arrested three people, two of whom are minors, in connection with a spate of vehicles which have been stolen and used in illegal rallies in the area. Apparently the three individuals are known to police for being trouble-makers and have all been arrested on a number of previous occasions, but later released. Apparently the trio have been targeting rental car depots at night and most of the cars stolen have been written-off in accidents during the illegal street races. The three have also allegedly used the vehicles to carry out a number of drive-by robberies, swiping women's handbags. Five stolen vehicles have been recovered along with some 6'800 euros worth of stolen goods.
