A 22-year-old British tourist from Chelsea tragically died in the early hours of yesterday morning after falling from a fourth-floor balcony at the hotel where she was on holiday with her sister and two friends in Magalluf. According to police sources, Monique Fay Williams fell to her death as she tried to climb from one balcony to another after having left the keys in her room. The group of four had gone out on Monday night and returned to the hotel around 1.30am, which is when Williams discovered that she did not have the keys to room 405 on her. One of the group went down to ask reception for a key, but on returning Williams was no longer in the corridor; it appears that she had gone into her sister's adjoining room and decided to climb across to her balcony. But tragically, the 22-year-old lost her balance and fell some 12 metres. Her friends rushed down stairs, but Williams had died instantly.
