Not only are some of the world's biggest stars of screen and music on the Majorcan horizon, so too is Star Wars. Tonight the Star Wars phenomenon will celebrates its 25th birthday as it goes on general release and on Monday, leading British stage and film actor, Ian McDiarmid, Star Wars' former Supreme Chancellor and now Emperer of the Universe in Episode II, The Attack of the Clones, will be making a flying visit to Arenal on Monday to help an old friend, Stuart Stanley, get his new bar, The Blues Bar, off to cosmic start. Star Wars fans will also be able to get personal autographs of the great actor between 8pm and 9pm. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones, currently enjoying the lights of the Cannes Film Festival, are also set to leave the South of France for Majorca and a hard-earned summer holiday at the Douglas's estate in Valldemossa. However, it is unlikely that the Hollywood couple will be going to this year's Isladencant festival in Calvia. The organisers of the three-day festival are set to announce next week that Oasis will be performing, as the Bulletin exclusively reported two weeks ago.
