Art Garfunkel arrived in Majorca yesterday to give a concert at the Costa Nord cultural centre in Valldemossa. All tickets have been sold for the event, part of the centre's Mediterranean Nights summer programme of concerts which continues on July 6 with Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Garfunkel will be accompanied by composer and musician Jimmy Webb and will perform songs from his solo albums released after he split with Paul Simon with whom he formed the legendary folk duo Simon and Garfunkel renowned for hits such as Mrs Robinson.
