The popular British television series Passport to the Sun is back on the island filming the fourth series of the popular BBC 1 soap/documenary. This year the series has spread its wing to incoporate Ibiza also but some of the regular characters who have appeared in other series are back once again. The programme enjoys viewing figures of almost two million people a day and it is all good publicity for Majorca. A spokesperson for the local tourism authorities said yesterday that Passport for the Sun was some of the best publicity Majorca had received in many years. The programme will go out as usual in January.
