Hollywood actress Gwyneth Paltrow, currently on the stage in the West End in London, slipped into Majorca this week and dined with members of the Spanish royal family. Spanish television reported that Paltrow, who has been complaining about the difficulty in finding a date in London, spent three days on the island, while other sources claim that she flew over for dinner and the night. But what has been confirmed is that the actress dined with heir to the Spanish throne, Prince Felipe, the Duke and Duchess of Palma and another couple at a restaurant along the Paseo Maritimo, after which, they are believed to have gone to a couple of bars along the sea front. Paltrow spent two weeks in Majorca last summer at a private luxury villa near Soller and was reported to have told a camera crew while filming last Spring's advertising campaign for El Cortes Ingles, that she intended to return, despite a couple of incidents with photographers. Little is known about her relationship with the Spanish royals, but one thing is for sure, communicating is the least of her problems. As a student Paltrow spent a gap year on the mainland and speaks fluent Spanish, while all of the royals speak English. She still keeps in close contact with the family she stayed with and visits every year.
