The Palma police are investigating the death of a man aged about 25, whose body was found in the electric meter store room of a block of flats in Calle Oliver. The body was found at noon yesterday by a neighbour, investigating the smell coming from the room. The body was badly decomposed. No signs of violence were immediately apparent. Death may have been caused by a drugs overdose, but the possibility of natural causes has not been ruled out. An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. The man has been identified as a North African, with the initials D S. Neighbours said that he had lived in the area for several years. They said he had been living in a flat a short distance from where the body was found, but had left that flat some weeks ago. However, he visited the area every day and knew a lot of people there.
