For the second consecutive year, international Majorcan holiday company Iberostar Hotels & Resorts has been voted the best hotel chain by clients of Apple Vacations, one of the United States' leading tour operators. Furthermore, eight of Iberostar's resorts in the Caribbean, in Cuba and Mexico, have been awarded the Cristal Award in recognition of the high level of quality and services offered to guests. The client satisfaction rate was over 83 per cent. Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is the only European hotel company to have ever received the award on behalf of Apple Vacations. Over 115.000 Apple Vacations clients chose Iberostar's resorts from 450 hotels. Miguel Fluxá, president of the Iberostar Group, collected the award on September 10 at the prize giving ceremony in Chicago. The award was presented by the president of Apple Vacations, John Mullen. Iberostar will end this year with 14 hotels in the Caribbean which have accommodated 175.000 tourists from North America, generating some $65 million, 66.26 million euros. Four of the hotels are in Cuba, five in the Dominican Republic and five in Mexico.
