Man dies while sunbathing on beach

A german tourist died while sunbathing on Santa Ponsa beach yesterday.
He was identified as Daniel Jarz, aged 61. The alarm was raised by the man's wife, who called the life guard and a doctor was called to certify the death, believed to have been caused by a heart attack. Also yesterday, a German tourist named as Ladislav Victory, who was staying at a hotel in Cala Millor, was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries. According to police sources he got lost and wandered into a building in Calle Ses Eres, and accidentally fell from a height of four metres. The police are investigating why he was in the building, which is some distance from his hotel, and how he came to fall. Hospital sources described his condition as serious. On Sunday afternoon, a French tourist aged 78 drowned while bathing at Palmanova in Calvia. He has been identified only as Pierre Q.
