Germans cut holiday prices further

German travel company Rewe and the tour operator 1-2-Fly, owned by TUI, have cut their Balearic holiday prices for next summer by a further nine per cent. Apparently, after talks with local hoteliers and on the back of the slump in German bookings to the Balearics this year, the recession and the habit for Germans to book at the last minute, the decision to introduce further discounts was taken, not only to encourage people to return to the Balearics, but also book early.
