Many of us will be able to access our local town hall with the click of a mouse next year. 51 Majorcan councils signed up to the Majorca Local Information Consortium, will all have their web sites on line within the next two months as part of an initiative backed by the Insular Council of Majorca and the Balearic government. As of today, Llubi and Pollensa web sites, www.ajllubi.net and www.ajpollenca.net, the two pilot web sites, which should be on line, according to the Consortium yesterday and in the future, having obtained the rights to the aj. and .net domains, your participating local council web site will be, for example, ajalcudia.net. All of the web sites will be connected to a central main page, but each council will be able to access its own site and make changes and add information etc. Councils will also be able to create electronic complaints and suggestions services under a we govern option.
