Party asks councils to condemn war

THE Majorcan Socialist Party (PSM) has presented a motion in all the town councils, calling on them to demonstrate for peace and condemn the actions of the United States and Great Britain against Iraq. It calls on the government to reject the war “which has already cost innocent lives” and to refuse use of military installations to facilitate the attack on Iraq. The party has also called for the international embargo on Iraq to be lifted and asked the international community to resolve the conflict “without violence.”
