Indiana Jones escapes press in Majorca

By Humphrey Carter HARRISON Ford and partner actress Calista Flockhart have just spent a whirlwind romantic few days in Majorca. The 61-year-old Indiana Jones star and the 38-year-old star of the hit series Ally McBeal jetted into the island on Tuesday night and slipped away to Paris first thing yesterday morning enroute for Toronto. Jones has been in Europe promoting his new film Hollywood Homicide, in which he co-stars with heartthrob Josh Hartnett. Just a few days ago in Madrid Ford complained that he was only in the capital for a day and longed to see and experience a bit more of Spain “not just the hotel and restaurant.” The couple, who met at the Golden Globe Awards in 2002, spent two nights at one of Deya's luxury hotels and only ventured out on Wednesday afternoon for a stroll around the village. Few people recognised the couple at first, but those who eventually did, had their polite requests for a photograph turned down. On his European promotional tour Ford has declined to talk about his relationship with Flockhart while she is not a great fan of the press, for which finding the couple, in Deya was about as difficult as finding the Temple of Doom. Ford is about to make his return as the swashbuckling archaelogist in the fourth Indiana Jones film on which shooting starts next summer. Majorca this summer has proven to have been a magnet for some of Hollywood's biggest stars including Jim Carrey and Gwyneth Paltrow.
