ONE man was seriously injured in a four car pile-up in the Son Castello industrial estate, at the junction of Gran Via Asima and Gremi Ferrers, yesterday at 1pm.
According to police reports, an Audi A6, travelling at speed, was involved in a collision with a Citroen AX, which skidded and hit a Renault parked nearby. The Audi hit a parked Volkswagen.
The driver of the Audi had to be cut free from the wreckage by firemen and was rushed to hospital with two broken legs. His condition is said to be critical. The driver of the Citroen had to be treated for shock.
The Audi and Citroen are write-offs.
The other two cars sustained considerable material damage, a signpost and a hoarding were crushed and a traffic light was knocked down.
