Green light given for second ring road link up with the Llucmajor motorway

The Balearic government has just approved the construction of a link route from the planned second Palma ring road to the Llucmajor motorway, a Transport department spokesman said yesterday. The Partido Popular government is taking steps to have the project completed during its present term of office at a total cost of 45 million euros.

The project includes north Palma links at an elevated roundabout which would improve access to the Merca Palma wholesalers trading area and to Carrefour, and to the south an underpass would provide connections with Coll d'en Rabass and the Camí Fondo.
