A group lobbying against toll payment being demanded for the use of the Soller tunnel confirmed yesterday that there will be a fresh protest tomorrow and said that they are not ruling out another cavalcade of cars blocking the lanes in the tunnel with drivers refusing to pay. The lobby met with its legal adviser earlier this week because fines are now being sent out to the drivers of the cars who have staged previous car sit-in protests in the tunnel. Protesters are considering a joint rejection of the fines. Sunday's protest is taking the form of a saucepan banging session in front of the town hall. Protesters say that the Soller tunnel has been paid for and there is now no need for toll.
