Palma.—A 50-year-old British woman was in a serious condition in Son Espases Hospital yesterday after falling from a convertible car in the Port of Andratx.

The victim had been to a wedding with two friends in sa Coma on Tuesday and they had hired the convertible from Palma for the occasion.
At around 5am yesterday morning, they decided to go to the Barracuda night club in the Port of Andratx.
Shortly before 7am, the three left the club and the 50-year-old decided o perch herself on the back of the car.
It remains to be confirmed whether she was sitting down or standing up but according to initial reports from the ambulance crews and the Local Police, when the driver pulled away, the victim was not secure and she fell out of the convertible.

She is understood to have suffered injuries to her head and it was the night club disc jockey and owners who were first at the scene and who began administering first aid until the police and emergency services arrived. Two ambulances rushed to the scene and once stable, the 50-year-old was admitted to Son Espases Hospital where she remained yesterday.
