So far this year, 1'907 tourist places in the Balearics have been brought up to standard and now meet with the demands of current legislation, regional Tourist and Sports Minister Carlos Delgado reported yesterday. Investment in the modernisation and reform has been around 9.67 million euros, the Minister said. Delgado, speaking during a Parliamentary session yesterday, said that the figure contrasts “significantly” with the number of places brought up to standard last year - 108 which were reformed at a cost of 527'870 euros. Delgado was responding to a question from an MP about income and costs a year after modifications to the modernisation programme were made.
