The Guardia Civil in Santa Margalida arrested two teenagers aged 17 and a 37-year-old adult on Sunday suspected of having carried out at least 14 robberies in the Can Picafort area.
According to the Guardia Civil, they had been on the trail of the trio for the past month during which time all 14 of house breaks ins were carried out.
Guardia Civil sources said yesterday that the owners of the properties were actually inside their homes asleep when the last two robberies were carried out and this caused a great deal of alarm amongst the local community which sparked the Guardia Civil to step up their game.
