The President of the Council of Majorca, Maria Salom, admitted during their Christmas drinks party yesterday that it has been a tough year.
But, as the same time she claimed the Council of Majorca has grown and, while at times “feeling and looking like the ugly duckling” continues to play a very important role in the governing of the Balearics.

She said that the Council hopes to finally give its budget the green light early in the New Year and, with what ever funds it has, “will try and do the best job possible.”
