l The ruling Partido Popular rushed to the defence of Balearic leader, Jose Ramon Bauza yesterday who has come under fire from opposition parties over his ownership of a phamarcy in Marratxi. The opposition said that his business dealing are “incompatible” with his position as head of the Balearic government.

But yesterday the Partido Popular denied these claims and said that Bauza was one of the most honourable and respected politicians ever to have served in the Balearics.
