INSECURE PROPERTY EVACUATED

PALMA City Council yesterday ordered that a two-storey residential property in Coll den Rebassa be evacuated amidst fears that it could collapse.
According to Council sources, inspectors have become increasingly concerned about the poor maintenance of the property, in particular the roof. City fire fighters were called out to assist in the evacuation of a woman who lived alone on the ground floor and a man who also lived alone in an apartment above. They were both in alternative accommodation last night.
