Palma.Balearic environmental group GOB said yesterday that it is extremely pleased with how its Mallorca blackout campaign went at the ITB travel trade fair in Berlin and pledged to continue with its international awareness drive.
The main aim of the campaign is to protect and preserve the environment of Majorca from a local government which, according to GOB, is hell bent on destroying the environment by facilitating major construction projects.
GOB, whose members mounting the campaign were confronted by the German police at the fair, said that their message was heard in Germany and that the general public appeared to be genuinely concerned about the damage being committed to the environment in Majorca.
