Recession fears grow

THERE are clear signs of a global economic depression , Spanish Industry Minister Miguel Sebastian said yesterday.
The global financial crisis has caused a generalized fall in economic confidence, industrial production, trade and led to job destruction, Sebastian said in a speech to Spain's Congress. “These factors are unmistakable symptoms of a global depression that demands a combined and coordinated response by all countries,” Sebastian said.
