THE Majorcan Railway Service (SFM) yesterday announced that it is running a special train service for the Fira del Fang (pottery fair) in Marratxi.
Sources at the Balearic Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Transport said that the objective is to make it easy for people to visit the fair.
With this in mind all trains, on the up and down lines, will stop at the small station in the Poligono (industrial estate) de Marratxi.
In addition to this, on Sunday passengers travelling from or to this station will be able to take advantage of a discount of 50 percent on the price of their tickets.

Over the past few years the Majorca Railway Service has come into its own for the big fiestas such as Dijous Bo, the Palma firework displays, San Sebastian, Christmas and New Year running extra trains and even free service for key events with huge success. The railway, which is continuing to be expanded across the island, is proving to be a vital service with a year-on-year increases in passengers.
