THE second edition of the Majorca Island Classic Rally for classic cars will be run from March 23 to 25 from various points on the island and will have 63 cars participating from Spain and various European countries and competing in various categories. The number of Majorcan drivers taking part has risen notably from last year's really thanks to the support of the Council of Majorca. This year 25 drivers from Majorca will take part in the rally according to the organiser, Toni Dezcallar. The technical organisation of the rally has fallen to Balearic TR Motor Racing Team and the route book had been developed by Johen Berger.
Over the three days the rally will go to Calvia, Llucmajor, Porreras, Sierra de la Tranumtana, Llucmajor and Porreras, according to the coordinator of the rally and the editor of Classic Motor magazine, Luis Alberto Izquierdo. The Council of Majorca's councillor for Culture, Dolca Mulet, said that through this rally the many participants and spectators will visit different parts of the island, seeing the traditions and trying the local food.
