SOLLER
THE complicated work to restore the reliefs and paintings inside the famous Can Prunera stately home in Soller has recently got underway.
Can Prunera was purchased by the Fundacion Tren de l'Art trustees a few years ago and has since been declared “a site of particular cultural interest.” The foundation's trustees plan on transforming the stately home into a centre for modern art and the complicated restoration work is expected to take various months to painstakingly complete.

Restoration experts Veselin Dimitrov and Svetla Nikolova from the company Restaurotec have been charged with the restoration work and their primary objective is “to maintain the building's rich history while also respecting the art work of the original masters”.

The biggest task is restoring the reliefs on the ceilings of the ground and first floors.
