EASTER BONNET COMPETITION

There was fun in the sun at Mood Beach on Easter Sunday with a traditional British Easter Bonnet Competition.
Children in particular threw themselves into the spirit of the project. Some had called in the help of an artistic parent, others had laboured over their creation for days. The results were so innovative that the judges, Mood's Margaret Whittaker and the Bulletin's Laura Stadler, had great difficulties selecting a winner. After careful deliberation they eventually decided the prize should be shared. The adult category of two free tickets to the Son Amar Dinner Show was won by Femke Young in a delightful creation she had made herself who told the Bulletin: “I've had a really wonderful day. Now I'm so looking forward to seeing the show.” The winners were Taya Oloughlin, Anya Witcherley, Cory Blakeley, Lucie Mai Blakeley and Femke Young won the Ladies' competition and two tickets to Son Amar.
