GUARDIA Civil from the Islands' Traffic department who setting up breathaliser control points around the Balearics last weekend, found 17 drivers testing positive for being over the drink-drive limit.
In separate incidents, 49-year-old Z.S.W. was arrested in Llucmajor on charges of domestic violence, as were 40-year-old A.R.C. from Honduras (in Pollensa); 45-year-old F.P. from Germany (in Palmanova); 71-year-old G.M.J. (in Inca); and 29-year-old Dutchman M.J. (in Santanyi.) Police in Pont d'Inca in Palma confiscated six bags of cocaine from 25-year-old S.M.R., later searching his home and finding 4'000 euros in cash and a stash of hashish. Two other men, I.R.F. and J.A:C. were also arrested as a result of the search.
