TWO Colombian nationals have been arrested in Palma for dealing cocaine following a surveillance operation by members of the National Police.
The two suspects have been under surveillance by the National Police for a number of weeks.
According to the police, the two men were selling cocaine by the gram in “wraps” and were using a house and various vehicles as “mobile sales points” in the Palma neighbourhoods of Son Gotleu, Son Oliva and s'Escorxador among others.

Last Wednesday, during their surveillance operation, police officers intercepted a buyer close to the Plaza de Toros with a wrap of cocaine bought from one of the men, a 41-year-old identified only as F.R. who was driving a Fiat.

The officers followed the alleged seller, who moments afterwards met with the other man, a 31-year-old identified as H.G.G., who handed over a plastic bundle.

It was at this stage that police moved in, arresting both men and seizing 32 wraps of cocaine, as well as 11'765 euros.
A search of the house in which the two men were living uncoverd a total of 245 wraps, another package containing 11.7 grammes of the same substance, an electronic scales and 16'365 euros in cash.

The police believe that the two men were about to leave the island for Colombia with the proceeds of the sale of the cocaine in the coming days.
In total, the police seized 28'130 euros and 250 grammes of cocaine.
