THREE people were injured, one of whom sustained severe head injuries, in two traffic accidents which happened during the early hours of yesterday morning on the road between Santa Margalida and Can Picafort and the motorway between Inca and Palma at Festival Park. The first happened at 5.08am and the second at 6.45am. According to sources from the emergency services, the seriously injured person was taken to Son Dureta hospital after having to be rescued by firefighters after he had been trapped in the damaged vehicle. Another person was injured in this accident, the cause of which is unknown, although the injuries, in this case, were slight.
The other accident, at Festival Park, was caused by a vehicle leaving the road. A person was injured in this accident but the severity of the injuries in not known.
