PALMA turned out to salute the 230 troops from the Balearics who this week are bound for Kosovo as part of the UN peacekeeping operation there. Dignitaries and members of the public watched the troops march down the Borne and a fly over by helicopters and airplanes.

The 230 Balearic troops will form part of a 473-strong Spanish unit based in the Kosovar town of Istok. They will be involved in distributing aid, reconstruction and overseeing refugee resettlement.
