NEWS DESK WEATHER during Easter week this year is going to be very mixed with moderate local showers forecast in the Balearics. The State Met Office said yesterday that as a result, sunshine in the Islands over the next few days is going to be very spasmodic. Temperatures will nevertheless rise slightly today signalling the onset of a period of “temporary” improvement. In fact, confirmed the Met Office, as of Thursday, it's going to get warmer across the whole of the country except in the northeast of the mainland and in Cantabria where cold, wet weather will continue. By Sunday however, unstable conditions will have spread to the whole of the northern half of the Peninsula and also to the Balearics. According to Met Office forecasts, localised moderate rainfall will be accompanied by a drop in temperature. Monday should see the weather across the whole country starting to get warmer again with only isolated patches of cloud. The Canary Islands meanwhile, throughout Easter, will be cloudy in the north and sunny in the south.
