STAFF REPORTER THE Balearic Animal Defence League (BALDEA) said yesterday that it is planning a march in Palma this Sunday to protest against moves by some regional governments to have bullfighting listed as an item of “national cultural interest”.

BALDEA meanwhile, is campaigning to have the bullfight completely banned throughout Spain on grounds of cruelty.
The march will start at noon from Plaza Juan Carlos 1, and continue down Calle Union, the Ramblas, and Calle Olmos as far as Plaza España.
