Palma.—The former head of the Balearic government´s business development consortium, Antonia Ordinas, said in court yesterday that she and her partner had returned more than 600'000 euros to the Balearic government. She made the headlines following her arrest about three years ago when police discovered thousands of euros in a tin which had been buried in her garden.

The former Balearic government official is accused of receiving commissions in return for government contracts. The Ordinas case is just one of a number of cases which are now coming to trial in Palma. She served in disgraced former Balearic leader Jaume Matas´ government.
