THE environmental group GOB has won the biodiversity conservation prize of the BBVA Foundation. The award will be presented in Madrid today by Crown Prince Felipe.
The award, considered one of the most important in the field of defence of the environment, has been awarded to the group for its long track record in the defence of nature. The award will be accepted by GOB's president Macía Blázquez.
Awards in different categories will go to scientists Jeremy Jackson and Juan Carlos Castilla and writer and journalist Joaquin Araujo.
