Business opportunities in China seminar

ON Thursday Palma will host a seminar about business opportunities in China for companies in the tourist sector, as part of the Spanish Tourism Sector Foreign Promotion Plan which the Institute for Exterior Commerce (ICEX) is organising. During 2005 more than 46 million foreign tourists visited China, which made the country the fourth in the world to receive most tourists, according to ICEX. They also said that the Chinese are travelling more and by 2020 China will have become the number one country for both sending and receiving tourists, according to the World Tourism Organisation (OMT). This seminar, which will take place in the headquarters of the Majorcan Chamber of Commerce, is directed at all those companies related to the tourism sector interested in doing business with China, according to ICEX sources. They recommended that hoteliers, travel agents, tour operators, airlines, promotion and construction companies, and software service companies, among others, should attend.
