THE Employment and Entrepreneurs' Forum opened its doors on the Paseo del Borne in Palma yesterday, with a healthy attendance by the public and the expectation that this second year will enable the event to take a foothold and spread over a period of two days. Sebastiá Sansó, City Council deputy for Employment and Commerce, reported that 60 exhibitors have stands, above all business and training organisations, which aim to act as a pivot between the offer of, and demand for, employment and a stimulus for entrepreneurs. The mayor of Palma, Catalina Cirer headed up a list of dignitaries at the inauguration of the exhibition which was organised by Palma City's Institute of Occupational Training and Employment (IMFOT). In conjunction with this event, a variety of workshops and round table conferences are being held in the Chamber of Commerce in Palma and at the Sa Nostra Cultural centre. Some leading figures taking part, including the renowned designer, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, were spending time at the exhibition yesterday.
