NO member of the present Balearic government is in the possession of a government credit card, according to Carles Manera, Minister for Finance, Taxation and Innovation.
As the latest scandal involving the alleged misuse of government credit cards and misappropriation of public funds by former PP government directors continues to be investigated, Manera revealed yesterday that the last five Visa cards were withdrawn some time ago and that Balearic government members only have access to virtual credit cards for the online purchase of computer material. Manera also revealed that members of the tax office were last month deployed to each of the government departments to advise them with their financial management systems.
