PALMA
PALMA is one of the preferred destinations for Spaniards taking a break this May Day holiday.
The Balearic capital is among the top five Spanish cities chosen by visitors to www.vuelosbaratos.es, according to the travel website, alongside Barcelona, Madrid, Seville and Malaga.

More than half of those logging on to the website were looking for Spanish destinations.
Outside of Spain, Amsterdam, London, Brussels, Prague and Lisbon are the preferred choices.
Outside of Europe, Morocco is the most popular. Marrakesh, Casablanca and Tangiers together make up 40 percent of all searches outside of Spain and the rest of Europe.

Amsterdam is the preferred city for those from Madrid travelling this May Day, the only area of Spain to choose outside of the country as their preferred destination. But Palma and Ibiza are also high on their list of favourite places to visit next week.

Sevillanos, Galicians and Asturians also opted for Palma as one of their top five choices.
According to the website's study, most travellers will spend less than 300 euros on their flight next week.
More than half will spend between 100 and 200 euros.
