Search for missing man suspended by the police

Maritime Police explained that it was impossible to continue the air and sea search. The special scuba diving team assigned from the Guardia Civil was also unable to continue their work due to the poor visibility conditions at sea.

The South American, identified as Alexis Mariano Luca, was visiting a cave in the Cala Serena with three other friends on Thursday when they were surprised by the rising tide and waves. Three of them managed to escape with minor injuries and alert the authorities. The police are said to be almost certain the body is no longer inside the cave and might have been washed away.
