PALMA
THE annual April Fair in Palma, an array of exhibitions highlighting the regional diversity of Spain's culture and gastronomy, will open this Thursday on the Son Rossinyol industrial estate and come to a close on 10th May.

The Mayor of Palma, Aina Calvo was yesterday encouraging all people living in the city to support the event. Jose Martinez, president of the Andalucian Regional Association, echoed the Mayor by guaranteeing visitors would “really enjoy themselves” at what will be the 20th year the Fair has been up and running. Calvo thanked the Association for the enormous effort that has gone in to arrangements remarking on the close collaboration maintained between the regions of Andalucia and Majorca and added that the economic crisis doesn't need to stop people appreciating music, dancing and good food, particularly at an event such as this one where the public doesn't have to spend a great deal of money.
