FOR the bank holiday weekend (May Day), the National Institute of Meteorology (INM) has predicted settled weather with almost cloudless skies over most of Spain, although this situation could begin to deteriorate on Tuesday. According to the INM's special bank holiday weekend forecast the anticyclone of the last few days will stay, stabilising the weather and the only region which will have persistent cloud will be the north of the Peninsula. This could lead to light showers in western Cantabria and in the west of the Pyrenees during the day with the possibility of light winds in mountain areas of the Mediterranean and in the Balearics. Squalls could extend to the mountainous region in the south of Andalucia.
Temperatures will remain stable.
Winds will be generally light.
On Sunday (April 30th) there will be a possibility of squalls in the mountain areas of the Balearics and western Andalucia.
On Monday (1st May Day) there will be little cloud and temperatures will rise. The wind will be light.
Holiday weather will be good
