COUNCILLOR Kate Mentink, Angela Guerrero, and the team from the Foreign residents department of Calvia Town Hall, wish to convey their thanks to everyone that helped make Europe day, on May 9th, the biggest success of the last 7 years.
During the festivities 3 awards were made. Kate Mentink was extremely proud to receive the European Citizen of the year 2010 award, from the international associations of the municipality of Calvia.
Jackie Codd, President of Age Concern, was given a special merit award for her years of hard work and dedication. Finally Dora Pratt McFarlane of the ladies group Coffee Mates received a special award for her amazing contribution to charity work and fundraising.
Our very special thanks go to all of the artists, who performed completely free of charge to make the day such a great success, and to John Ballard and Peter and May Vane for long hours of hard work.
