THE Guardia Civil have launched a hunt for the person responsible for an attack on a young British woman in Magalluf in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The 21-year-old victim was found naked and covered with blood outside an apartment block in the report by a passer by at 5.35am yesterday. The police were called immediately and the Briton was rushed to Son Dureta hospital where she was treated for stab wounds and a punctured lung.
She was apparently able to say very little apart from, that she had been raped and stabbed.
The victim works in a Magalluf bar and, having apparently finished her late shift at 4am, made her way home to the apartment she shares with another British couple, alone. According to the woman, her attacker was apparently waiting outside the apartment for her and raped her at knife point before stabbing her five times and, according to the victim, leaving her for dead.
The Guardia Civil have launched a major investigation and forensics spent most of yesterday combing the flat she shared in the Magasol apartment block searching for clues and evidence.
Medical sources said that the 21-year-old is lucky to be alive.
