ACCORDING to reliable sources, the Duke and Duchess of Palma (Princess Cristina and her husband Iñaki Urgangarin) have acquired land with a large Majorcan-style house in the municipality of Sencelles. The house is three kilometres away from the town centre.
The sources say that some months ago, relations of the King acquired several estates in the same area of Sencelles, at the junction between the Camino de Son Roig and the Camino de Binifuell, which were later joined together and now form two estates, divided by a country lane. It seems that one of the relatives expressed a wish to refurbish one of the estates, so that one of his relatives could enjoy it, without saying who. Rumours that it would be the family of the Duke and Duchess have been running rife in Sencelles, where people say that the security measures are suited to the needs of the royal household.
