Palma.The new PalmaPhoto , which has this year been turned into a festival, starts today with a series of photo exhibitions, conferences and mini workshops spread over different venues throughout the city.
The festival runs until the end of July, and this year 13 different venues have offered their support and backing to the PalmaPhoto, including ArtPalma, Solleric, La Misericordia, Caixa Forum, Es Baluard, and the Miró Foundation.
Organisers of the event, sponsored by Fernando Gomez de la Cuesta, said they hope the festival cements its place as the reference point in the Mediterranean. Over 15 artists will present their work during the festival.
