THE information and coordination office for the train and bus services on Majorca had 11'500 enquiries in May.
Of these, 8'684 were personal visits made to their offices, situated in Palma bus station, and 2'889 were telephone calls. According to figures released by the Balearic Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Housing, the average amount of calls received was 93 per day. Some 95 percent of these phone calls were to seek information about bus and train services, another 1 percent to complain and the rest for other reasons. Some 70.7 percent of calls were made on weekdays. With regard to the personal visits, 85 percent were for information about bus and train services; 0.05 percent to complain and the rest for other reasons.
