Woman killed in head-on collision on Cala Pi road

A 30-year-old woman died in the early hours of yesterday morning after the car she was driving was involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle on the Cala Pi road. Another two people were injured as a result of the crash, said Emergency Service sources.

The tragedy apparently happened about 1am in the area of Sa Torre. After the accident, two of the occupants remained trapped inside the wreckage, one of them was the woman who had died instantly at the moment of collision.

From the second car, firemen had to free another woman, also 30-years-old who had suffered abdominal and facial injuries whilst a second party, aged 33, had been injured in the chest and stomach. The two injured victims were taken to Son Dureta hospital
